Step 3
Step 3: Managing inventory Space
Upgrading your inventory space therefore is very important. There are six options to create free/more space in your inventory.
1. The bag merchant
2. Increasing mount carry capacity 3. Deconstructing items 4. Selling items 5. Destroying items 6. Dropping your items in the (guild) bank |
Bag merchants can be found in most large cities and towns. You can buy 10 more inventory space in exchange for some gold.
Increasing your mounts' carry capacity can be done up to 60 times by visiting a Stablemaster. This will increase your inventory space by 1 everytime you upgrade. Deconstructing items gives you more inventory space but also increases your crafting skills by granting you inspiration. It also provides you with materials. This process is irreversible! Once your item is deconstructed, it is gone for ever! Merchants can be found in almost all towns and cities and even on the roads. They will buy everything from you and also feature a buyback option, in case you sold something by accident. You can also sell items in guild stores to free up some inventory space. By right clicking an item in your inventory and clicking on destroy you can destroy every item. You can also drag&drop the item outside the inventory screen to destroy an item. This process is irreversible! Once your item is destroyed, it is gone for ever! Almost all large cities in Tamriel have a Bank. The bank provides you with extra storage which is account shared. This mean that every character shares the same bank space. You can also use the bank to transfer items from one character to another. It is therefore advised to drop crafting materials into your bank to prevent having to go and search for materials with all your characters. The guild bank is however shared with everybody who has access to the guild bank. It is not recommended to place items of high value into the guild bank. Remember that most of the time, all guild members can deposit and withdraw items from the guild bank. Unless otherwise configured by the guild master. |
NOTE:
- Marking items as junk does not clear inventory space, unless you destroy all junk.
- To deconstruct items, you need at least 3 free inventory slots.
